About Us-Origin Story
           Martial science Academy began four years after Renshi Beach and Sensei Lena met when their love of karate and teaching was given the chance to grow. They opened MSA in July 2019 and have been teaching kata, self defense, weapons, and basics since. They have a unique enthusiasm and ability to find a way to teach students of all ages and abilities. They understand that not all students learn the same way and they consistently use different teaching tools and styles in a fun way while emphasizing respect, discipline, and technique. 

Renshi Tom Beach-4th Degree Black Belt in Shito-Ryu

  •  Began training as a teenager and taught Shito-Ryu as a young adult while traveling the world in the U.S. Navy.

  • Experienced teaching all ages and ranks, 3-Adults.

  • 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

  • Enjoys learning and teaching new weapons.

  • Began training at age 37 with her young daughter

  • 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

  • Air Force veteran and wife to a retired Army veteran

  • Loves weight lifting, sprint triathlons, and karate

  • Has extensive experience teaching special needs students of all ages and abilities

    • Mom to two special needs kids-Autism, ADHD, physical limitations​

  • 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

  • First certified teenager to teach under the National Karate Jujitsu Federation

  • Enjoys golfing with his dad, Renshi Beach, and his high school team
